No more monkeys jumping on the bed!

September 27th, 2007 at 12:08 pm

I got to make a monkey puppet today in class and then we all acted out the story of ‘Five little monkeys sitting in a tree’. Mom got a kick out of me trying to sing it with her because I just keep saying “No more monkeys jumping on the tree”.

I got to count how many kids were in the class today for my job. I can count past 10 now and moms working so hard on helping me learn to add. Mom says Im the brightest boy ever. I think shes not being fair to my brothers, but thats ok.

Its about the senses today

September 25th, 2007 at 12:20 pm

We explored our 5 senses and made this big project with 6 blocks on it.

  • 1 had a picture of a hand with a cotton ball and a piece of sand paper.
  • 2 Had a picture of an ear and a whistle.
  • 3 had a picture of my eyes and a large mirror made from tinfoil!
  • 4 Had a photo of a mouth as well as lemons.
  • 5 And the last was a nose with flowers and a picture of a skunk. Pretty cool!!!

My job was to get the juice today, and we had speech and language. I like school because we have so much fun making things that help me talk!

Welcome Back Jack!

September 24th, 2007 at 12:11 pm

Today I started back at the Paec school, where mom fought so hard to get me in. I have Ms Carol as a teacher again and mom is forever thrilled with this.  My classroom has centers, and I know the staff so I can talk with them. When my sounds are not as clear as other children’s, they can figure out what I am saying or help me express it better. Somethings are worth fighting for, and mom says my constitutional rights as a disabled child puts me front and center on her list.  Well thats what I did today, and now mom has all this paperwork to fill out. Lots of work for her!

OH my very first job for the day was to pass out the napkins for snack time! We also made a fall tree, but since the other kids had made leaves for it the week before, I just got to help making the big one.

Mommy and the School things

September 9th, 2007 at 12:04 pm

Mom does not like my current teacher. Shes a substitute with no training in special ed. Mom really went off on her today when she saw that this teacher had me in a corner crying because I went to use the bathroom. It was really hard on mom to see me crying and so sad. It was hard for me too.  This teacher does not know how to sign, and she also does not have my pecs pictures so I can not tell her when I need to go potty. Mom says I wont be going back again, and I’m just glad I get snuggle time with mom now.  Mom wrote this big letter to the head of Special Education and made so many phonecalls the battery went dead! But I know my mom and she will make it all work out. She always does.

1st day of school this year!

September 4th, 2007 at 11:55 am

I went to school today, and things are so different. Mom drove me and Emaly because the bus is having problems with Emaly. Moms taking care of it.  I don’t know my teachers name, which worries mom. She doesnt know it either, and even Dad is pretty clueless on this one.  I have no idea how many kids are in my class but mom is wishing she could get me back at my old school.  My mom is worried about this new school system they started.  Not knowing what I did all day  scares her, and trust me, no one wants to be in her way when shes like this.

Well here is a photo just to have one. Jack
